 Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) in New Jersey
 

Priority resource concerns in New Jersey are animal (livestock and wildlife), water quality and soil quality.Public Meetings in New Jersey

YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND A PUBLIC MEETING HOSTED BY NRCS AND FSA TO LEARN ABOUT OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOU AVAILABLE THROUGH THE FARM BILL.

NRCS will explain how you can be rewarded with a five-year contract for maintaining and managing existing conservation activities and undertaking additional conservation activities.

Three components for eligibility for CSP are:

  • APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY
  • LAND ELIGIBILITY
  • STEWARDSHIP THRESHOLD REQUIREMENT

Estimated payments are:

  • CROPLAND: $12 - $22 PER ACRE * PASTURELAND: $7 - $14 PER ACRE
  • NONINDUSTRIAL PRIVATE FORESTLAND: $6 - $12 PER ACRE THIS PROGRAM IS NOW AVAILABLE STATEWIDE!

THERE IS AN ANNUAL PAYMENT LIMITATION OF $40,000 PER FARM OPERATION.
