How was the Natural Resources Conservation Service started?
The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service
(NRCS), formerly the Soil
Conservation Service, can trace its roots to the Dust Bowl days of the 1930's, when dust storms
covered the Great Plains and Midwest, sending clouds of dust as far as Washington, D.C. -
even affecting us here in New Jersey!
